Green Baby
By DK Publishing
Millions of diapers are thrown away every day, and much of babycare is far from environmentally friendly. However, now more than ever parents are taking notice of the environment and their effect on it. Most people are aware of today's ecological issues, but it may not be until the life-changing event of having a baby that they are motivated to actually change their lifestyles. Even people who already live in a relatively green way may find that they want to know more about what chemicals they are applying to their baby's sensitive skin. Or it might be that the additional waste a baby generates encourages them to be more creative about reusing household items. After all, parents have a higher stake in the planet's future as they need to ensure a habitable world for their children. How parents decide to feed, clothe, transport, and entertain their baby has huge consequences.

"New and seasoned parents will love this informative guide." -- Chicago Tribune, July 27, 2008
...it s a fast-paced book full of very doable ideas for eating better, cleaning more carefully, and (importantly) saving money. --American Baby Magazine
Great book for Natural and Green parents
I LOVE this book. Very easy read-you can pick it up and put it down in leisure time (What parent has much of that?) and learn important info quickly. Great information about natural parenting, and some very important things to be aware of to protect your children against all kinds of dangers in our toxic environment. Great graphics, clean design, nice images, and well written. I highly recommend!
Great!
This book is filled with wonderful information for someone just starting out with "going green". I really enjoyed sitting down with this in my spare time and I am taking allot of it to heart for my next baby. I really do wish I would have known some of the things I've learned when I had my son. It makes me feel bad as a mother knowing I exposed him to such harmful things. Good luck to all!
Very informative!
Green baby gives you many brief summaries covering a great selection of topics making it easy to read in between baby's naptimes. It lays down the basics without compromising any useful information and offers good sources. I own many green books and this is by far on of the better ones even if it does follows the same format as other green books with the short chapters and short summaries. Green baby and a lot of new information to offer as well as reliable resources. For any mother who is concerned about their baby being eco-friendly I would very much recommend this book.
